Utah Expected to Remain in the 'Deep Freeze' for Several Days

SNOWFALL HAS LET UP -- ACROSS MOST OF NORTHERN UTAH -- BUT OUR FRIGID TEMPERATURES ARE STILL CAUSING PROBLEMS.

AND THAT'S NOT EXPECTED TO CHANGE, ANYTIME SOON.

FORECASTERS SAY IT WILL LIKELY BE SATURDAY BEFORE THE TEMPERATURE RISES ABOVE FREEZING.

THE WIDESPREAD COLD IS MUCH WORSE IN OTHER AREAS.

NORTH AND SOUTH DAKOTA ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPERATURES, BELOW ZERO, WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY AFTERNOONS.

THE SNOW -- AND ICY CONDITIONS -- HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO HUNDREDS OF WASATCH FRONT FENDER-BENDERS, IN JUST TWO DAYS.
