Bountiful Man Attacked by Two Masked Assailants With Baseball Bats

A BOUNTIFUL MAN -- WHO THOUGHT HE WAS MEETING A WOMAN HE HAD CHATTED WITH, ON-LINE -- INSTEAD, CLAIMS HE WAS ATTACKED BY TWO MASKED MEN, WITH BASEBALL BATS.

LAYTON POLICE LT. SHAWN HORTON SAYS, THE VICTIM REPORTED CORRESPONDING WITH SOMEONE -- HE THOUGHT WAS A WOMAN -- FOR ABOUT THREE WEEKS, THROUGH THE WEBSITE "MEETME.COM."

BUT WHEN HE ARRIVED TO MEET HER -- FACE-TO-FACE, AT LAYTON'S VAE VIEW PARK -- HE GOT A SURPRISE BY TWO ASSAILANTS.

THE VICTIM SAYS THE TWO SUSPECTS WERE IN THEIR TEENS OR EARLY 20'S.  HE SUFFERED A BROKEN ARM AND A THREE INCH GASH ON HIS HEAD.

POLICE ARE NOW REVIEWING THE VICTIM'S CELL PHONE RECORDS, TRYING TO GET LEADS IN THE CASE.
