The value of knowing CPR was demonstrated in two separate near-drowning incidents Wednesday, as a pair of young boys might have died if people hadn't known the lifesaving procedure.
A 2-year-old West Valley boy, and a 4-year-old West Jordan boy, were each treated at Primary Children's Medical Center.
Emergency responders to each incident, say the quick actions taken by people before they arrived likely saved the boys' lives.
In each instance, the boys were given CPR before emergency response personnel arrived.
Authorities remind parents, during this swimming and water play season, it is critical to keep an eye on children playing near water at all times.
