No Relief From the Heat in Sight

Sunday was the hottest final day of June in Salt Lake -- at 103 degrees -- since 1979.

But this summer, it was just another triple-digit temperature reading, in what is quickly becoming a sweltering summer.

More extreme temperatures are being recorded in several other Utah cities.

Similar conditions are lingering in several other western states as well.

100+ degree highs are now expected in Salt Lake, into the 4th of July.
